Senior Educational Consultant
Jelbin DelaCruz is a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters with experience in literacy instruction, teacher leadership and blended learning instructional models. In this position, he supports schools implementing curricula that is directly aligned to the Next Generation standards. As a thought partner and instructional coach, Jelbin is committed to improving outcomes for all students. From modeling strategies that work, to supporting teacher teams through inquiry cycles, the support Jelbin provides is directly linked to the needs of the schools that he serves. He is also part of the virtual coaching team supporting teachers to master critical instructional competencies.
Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Jelbin worked at the Bertelsmann Foundation-Media Workshop where he partnered with New York City schools as a teacher and technology integration specialist. He also worked in the Children’s Museum of Manhattan as Manager of the Time Warner Media Center for Media Arts and Innovation.
