Delia E. Racines, Ph.D. has more than 16 years of experience teaching, coaching, consulting, and serving as an administrator with ETK-12 public schools and university-level educators in Washington DC and Los Angeles, California. Racines effectively transitioned department chairs to instructional coaches through tailored modules and was awarded the prestigious Shirley Hord Award with Learning Forward. Racines continues to design and teach with USC’s MAT-TESOL Program with the Rossier School of Education. Dr. Racines spent time abroad working at a prison in Mérida, Venezuela where her research in education and criminology intersected. Her legal dissertation was nominated for the Joseph C. Beckham Dissertation of the Year Award with the Education Law Association and her research in education law and civil rights for ELs was awarded the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Author Contribution. Dr. Racines is an author with Edutopia, sharing her top strategies with Instructional Coaches and enjoys integrating EL strategies for books with Teacher Created Materials.
