Virtual Instructional Coach
Aneka Bruce, Virtual Instructional Coach, brings a decade’s worth of education experience to Teaching Matters with the goal of providing equitable access to mathematics for all scholars through curriculum writing & professional development facilitation. She’s taught middle school and high school level mathematics throughout Brooklyn, NY and transferred those skills as a Math Intervention Manager into DC’s Southeast district charter schools where she currently holds the title of Middle School Mathematics Coach as well. Aneka’s passion for education also encompasses health & wellness. She is a graduate of Penn State University’s Kinesiology, Movement Science Program B.S. and St. John University’s Masters of Education in Secondary Mathematics. Blending both passions, Aneka is also a proud U.S. Army Soldier with currently 10 years of service as an Army Medical Officer. She continuously strives to cultivate strong leaders and educators within both fields for hopes of a brighter future for America’s youth.
