As Marketing Manager at Teaching Matters, Monna leads organizational marketing strategy in collaboration with the senior leadership team. Monna possesses extensive experience in marketing, project management, communication, early childhood education, and school administration.
Monna began her career in education as Mandarin Head Teacher at HudsonWay Immersion School in NYC. After three years in the classroom, Monna became Assistant Director, a role which tasked her with managing the overall operations of the school. In addition to ensuring the school’s day-to-day ran smoothly, Monna worked closely with administrators, teachers, and parents to help the school meet and exceed its growth goals.
Monna drew upon this school experience in her role at Higher Ground Education, where she managed marketing, enrollment strategies, and events for 80+ Montessori schools across North America, Europe, and Asia. With a focus on lead generation and driving conversion, Monna analyzed market needs and used data to make decisions on key messaging and components of marketing campaigns.
Monna’s additional experience includes time spent as a Project Specialist at Tory Burch and at Royal Caribbean. In these roles, she helped the Chief Information Officer and his IT Executive Leadership Team define the organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. She also was involved in all IT communications and organizational design activities at each company.
Monna holds an M.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College and an M.Ed. Language Education from Rutgers University. Monna is a Shanghai native. In her spare time, she enjoys art, movies, exploring new restaurants and traveling.
