Jose Rosario is a Senior Educational Consultant with Teaching Matters with an expertise in elementary education.

A New York City native, Jose attended Fordham University and later Touro College for his Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Prior to joining Teaching Matters, he was a 10 year veteran in education with experience as an elementary school teacher for grades K-4 and as an elementary school principal. As a school leader he focused on closing the achievement gap for our most at risk learners and pushed for a fundamental focus in literacy. He believes that if we get children to read, comprehend, and think critically that would serve them well in every other area of schooling.

Jose is an avid reader and enjoys running, weight lifting, and meditating.
