Caroline Scavone is an Educational Consultant with Teaching Matters, who specializes in Literacy. Caroline is committed to supporting all educators continuously develop in order to encourage all learners both in and outside the classroom.

Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Caroline has served as a Classroom Teacher, Instructional Leader, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, Curriculum Writer, Founding Assistant School Leader, and Principal at schools in both Brooklyn and St. Louis. In her prior roles, Caroline wrote network and school-based curriculum and instructional plans to respond to the individual needs of students. Caroline has developed and led teachers and leaders through data analysis, instructional planning, and professional development sessions. Caroline loves coaching and supporting teachers and cultivating instructional practices that allow for growth and collaboration.

Caroline holds a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education K-6 Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. In her free time, Caroline enjoys spending time with her husband and son and exploring new restaurants.
