Olga Votis

Chairman of the Board, Teaching Matters

Olga Votis has served as the Chairman of Teaching Matters for the past ten years. During her tenure as chairman, Teaching Matters has grown its cross-disciplinary portfolio of teacher development and coaching services so that more than 1,000 schools, 30,000 teachers and 500,000 students in underserved communities have been positively impacted.

Prior to her work at Teaching Matters, she was the Director of Music Programming at the 92nd Street Y.  Ms. Votis brings creativity and know-how to Teaching Matters, along with the ability to apply an entrepreneurial spirit to her leadership on the Board. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and an MPhil from Cambridge University. Olga served as a Co-Chair of the New York Public Library and as a founding board member of the Columbia University Innovation Center.
