Consultant and educator
Julie Engerran joined the Teaching Matters Board in 2015. Julie was first introduced to Teaching Matters while serving as a Managing Partner at Deloitte, where she developed and launched a global social investment initiative to drive innovations in entrepreneurship, education and skills for underserved young people.
Julie is known as a connector — of diverse people and new ideas — with an inquisitive mind and generous spirit. Alongside her work on non-profit boards, she currently consults to university faculty on curricular change initiatives that blend business and the liberal arts in an effort to prepare college graduates for responsible leadership across sectors. She holds a B.A. from Texas Christian University and an M.Ed. from The University of South Carolina.
