The Elizabeth Rohatyn Prize for Schools where Teaching Matters
Stephanie Clagnaz, Ed.D. is a Virtual Coach for the Emerging Teacher Leader program with an expertise in elementary and middle school literacy. She helps teachers through virtual coaching as they train to become teacher leaders. Stephanie assists teachers in deepening their understandings of analyzing and using data to increase student proficiency. She also facilitates educators in reflecting on how to lead teacher teams to provide appropriate instruction for all learners.
Prior to joining Teaching Matters, Dr. Clagnaz served as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. As an elementary and middle school principal, she worked to develop teacher leaders throughout the schools. Stephanie earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from Hofstra University. Her dissertation study focused on the principal as professional developer and instructional leader of a school.
