Custom Training and Website Development
Client: The Office of Instructional Technology, NYC Department of Education
Overview: In July 2005, the New York City Department of Education approached Teaching Matters to provide turn-key training and a web portal for their recent 1:1 computing pilot in 22 schools.
Teaching Matters partnered with the Office of Instructional Technology and their curricular development teams and designed a week-long institute focused on instructional strategies and techniques for integrating technology in the classroom. In the summer of 2005, the training was held to 30 facilitators who then served as turn-key trainers to over 200 teachers in the 22 pilot schools.
Teaching Matters also designed a content-management portal to facilitate document and idea-sharing throughout the community, creating an online community of learning.
