Balanced Literacy and Technology

Reading and writing are fundamental to a student’s success in school. Teaching Matters’ Balanced Literacy and Technology programs combine best practice in literacy instruction with 21st century tools and approaches. Used strategically, technology arms teachers with methods to tackle the components of their balanced literacy classrooms, from “read aloud” to "word work."

Writing Matters

Writing Matters introduces 6th, 7th and 8th grade teachers to powerful new ways to approach writing instruction using 21st Century technology tools. The program uses interactive, original program content. Teachers learn how to instruct their students in the writing process through an array of basic genres from short fiction to editorials.
