Schools who participate in our Voices and Choices Civil Rights program are invited to send a group of ten to fifteen students accompanied by one or two teachers to our annual city-wide
Civil Rights Student Summit. Students will congregate at City Hall at 9:30 am on Friday, May 7th for an assembly in City Council Chambers before heading across the street to Pace University where they will have lunch, present their citizen media campaigns in front of local community activists, and join a student rally for Civil Rights. This exciting day is a great way to recognize student achievement and learn about the role of activism in society.
