Jasmine Shepherd

Jasmine Shepherd has worked in urban education for ten years. She was an elementary school teacher for five years in the Charter School sector and has served as a leader for the past five years. In her years as a leader she served as a Dean of Students for four years and is currently an Assistant Principal. Jasmine graduated from CUNY Medgar Evers College with a Bachelors in French and an Associates in Childhood Education. Her Graduate studies work was completed at Relay Graduate School of Education where she obtained a MA in Childhood Education. She holds a professional teaching license in childhood education, grades 1-6 and is currently enrolled in a post-graduate program CITE at The College of St. Rose pursing her licenses for School Building Leader and School District Leader. She is projected to obtain her SBL/SDL licenses in Fall 18’. As a Teaching Matters Consultant, she virtually coaches Emerging Teacher Leaders (ETLs) in the teacher leadership path.
