Jane Marie is an educator, curriculum designer, and former school leader. After receiving her B.A. in Communication Studies from Samford University, she began her teaching career in Washington, D.C., teaching pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. She moved to New York City a few years later to pursue her graduate degree, where she received both an M.A. and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College at Columbia University. Her master’s research focused on anti-bias teaching, and as a result, she developed a professional development curriculum on anti-bias teaching in predominantly white spaces.

She also has experience developing and facilitating professional development curricula, using self-reflection and dialogue as core tenets of professional growth.
